Catherine Wright, PhD.
Innovative educator, program founder, research-driven collaborator, and widely recognized public speaker with a wealth of experience in higher education, sustainability, and faith-based engagement.
Brings deep expertise in strategic planning, organizational design, and research-informed support for community-rooted organizations. Skilled at translating theological and ethical frameworks into practical lessons, structures, decision-making processes, and partnerships that support long-term flourishing. Awarded a Sabbatical for Jan 2027-May 2027 to focus on documenting food justice work happening at the community and statewide level.
Recognized nationally for advancing service-learning pedagogy and sustainability integration (AASHE Campus Sustainability Research Award Finalist, 2022), she works alongside community leaders to clarify vision, align strategy, and build durable infrastructure—uplifting those already doing creation care work rather than replacing or directing it. This work will also be a focus of her 2027 Sabbatical.
